Seashore Trolley Museum Walk-thru

A tour of the oldest and largest trolley and transportation museum in the U.S., in Kennebunkport, Maine For a ride aboard the trolley, click here: ruclips.net/video/7Xo-oS-j-Fg/видео.html I neglected to mention that the museum also was hosting the Revolution Rail Company. You could rent a pedal car and power yourself along the 2-mile-long track.

The Amherst Railway Society brings the NLSTS back to the Eastern States Exposition grounds for a second year. They claimed that they ran out of space for vendors and next year will have an even bigger show in the Better Living Center.
Pintastic New England 2024
Просмотров 1552 месяца назад
A brief tour of the largest pinball exposition in New England. I caught a couple errors: there were FIVE Cactus Canyon machines (not four). The Black Knight machine was "Swords of Rage" not "Blades of Fury". Also, I should have gotten the info on the guy who built all those wonderful mechanical demonstrations. I think he was from the Electro Magnetic Pinball Museum.

Spring arrived and I ventured outside to see if my concept for a stable track bed could work.

This is the premiere performance of a piece commissioned for the Tuesday Morning Music Club in Springfield, MA. Clifton J. Noble, Jr., the Program Director, asked five composers (including myself) to write a piece for a specific ensemble: soprano, baritone, flute, French horn, violin, viola and cello. I chose as my inspiration a poem by Rabindranath Tagore.

Trim a Train update

I finally get the Bachmann Trim-a-Train running. You can find the original video here: ruclips.net/video/i5RMWQm_Wi0/видео.html
It's funny/ironic that this video came out on merger day. I do wonder what will happen with the parks going forward.
@@trainandmore I’m glad Cedar Fair is in charge of running the parks and not Six Flags. That gives me a bit of hope.
This park is so peaceful. What a great vibe. So similar to King’s Island but so so different, as well!
Another walk thru already? Thank you!
I’m loving all these new walk through videos! Thank you!
I've never heard of a business lowering prices, unless you use coupons, or business is just really really bad.
Omgosh i luv canobie
im going next week
Thank you for this walk-through it brought back many memories as I took my children to this park when it was still park fun land and they presented a coke can for their interests. We rode the log ride at that time and I see they still have it but they have developed this into a beautiful park and now I’m excited to take my great grandchildren to this adventure as I live just north of Muskegon in Cadillac Michigan so again, thank you this was very interesting And look forward to the visit there.
YES!! More rollercoaster tycoon inspo! 😊
W video. Does The Goat Respond 🐐😂
Do they still have ziplining? What about the old-time photos?
I didn’t spot those while we were there.
The sky ride is east to west Lake Erie is north
Somewhat. The Point runs southeast to northwest.
Nice one Jay....always love your installments!
I wish cedar point would get another dark ride. I loved the pirate ride and earthquake when I was little
i have been on the sky ride today!
Why even post this? Completely unwatchable.
It’s the last vestige of an historic ride that’s now lost forever.
When I was a kid there were drive in theaters everywhere and they had large playground areas up near the screen, all kinds of toys to keep the kids happy until it got dark enough to see the movie. What a great Funtown park, like you said glad to see they are able to make it work "stay open" all these years later.
What a great little dark ride- between this and mine of lost souls at Canobie, New England has some nice dark rides for regional parks
This was a nice tour, and makes me want to go even more. But it certainly looks dead, your trolley ride made it look busier then this. Hopefully it's not always as dead as this. It honestly looks like anyone could go into the members only area, because it's not like they're checking, from what I can tell at least.
It was a rainy day, which is why it wasn’t busy. But I talked with some of the employees there and the museum generally is doing well. After all, it’s been in operation for 85 years. So they must be doing something right.
Do you remember gaslight square?. Did you ever take a trolley......
The ice cream cone was invented at that World’s Fair…
@@jayducharme much love
What a cool dark ride. Thank you for sharing with us.
What a fantastic Museum. Thank you for taking us there for a walk thru.
It's nice that it's all volunteers, hopefully they'll keep getting more as time goes by. Wish it was easier to get there from Boston though, especially since they have so many T vehicles.
Fantastic detailed, quality video Jay! What a beautiful machine! Have you been to that trolley museum near windsor locks?
I’ve almost gotten there several times, but haven’t yet.
@@jayducharme Ive driven by it all the time...its like right off the warehouse point exit 91 south but I havent done a tour. All kinds of interesting railroad vehicles in the yard.
Too expensive for what it is.
I was fortunate to attend a musical ride in W. Springfield, MA, in the 90s. Amazing!!! My favorite memory is the charge. The entire show was awesome.
Very calming video. I dont know why but i love watching amusement park walk thrus Also i had no idea the carousel at KI, was made by PTC! I think that's really cool
A classic!! Would ride it in the 1980s…
I would love to go to the border of the United States of America 🇺🇸 with my mom and see the 2027 Royal Canadian mounted police musical ride
Hopefully we both get to ride top thrill 2 soon
Of Darien lake
I’m hoping to get out there this year.
Do 2024
I'm planning to get there this year.
I know its summer when you start posting walk-thrus. Love them!
Top thrill 2 is still down I went on June 5 and 6
Starting June 8, they began testing the modified trains.
The electric bills probably put them out of business, ugh !
The actual reason the park closed can be found here: ruclips.net/video/e4QxrkuYaLA/видео.htmlsi=8j8Q-Zyo6hD3KckO
@@jayducharme Thanks for the link, I found out the insurance company was taking all their money. I think the number of people going to the park decreased too.
@@AnthonyRufo-rc1zm The final year the park was open saw the biggest opening day in decades, with over 3000 people in the park. So it was still doing okay.
Always love your videos fyi your overview of idlewild in 2018 on your website has problems whenever I click on it it takes me to something else instead
I've watched all of your walkthroughs once before. Decided to watch them a second time and I'm amazed that I overlooked how wonderful this park is. It might be my favorite.
Top thrills entrance has always been down there
Weird. I thought it was further south.
Yoo! I was there that day. Too bad that it had a little bit of a rainstorm in the evening, but the lines turned out to be short and it was a great day to go (:
This is amazing! I was on this ride when it turned into Six Flags. So much change from up top there!
Last year I had Cheese on a Stick, and it has to be the unhealthiest thing I've ever eaten. Tasted good, but not good for you
It could be argued that nothing in an amusement park is good for you. But it certainly is tasty. That's why I created my own somewhat healthier version: www.karenandjay.com/CoaSt-in-a-pan.pdf
Dang it couldn't hear the tune playing on the Wurlitzer because of the narration 😒.
I love when you post walk throughs
Jay you do the best most informative walk throughs always love the yearly cedar point video. My childhood park. Awesome video!!!
Another thing on my bucket list, it looks like the parks have figured out the staffing issues from the past 2 years. I checked Google, and dispite the city having a small transit system, they don't go to the Cedar point gates strangely. I'm glad seeing national brands leaving though, I said that in one of your walk-thrus last year I didn't like that. So as much as I like Auntie Annes, hopefully they leave soon, and either get a local vendor, or do your own recipe. If I want Auntie Annes, I I'll just go to my local mall.
Hola, por favor, ¿adonde fue esta exposición? Saludos.
West Springfield, Massachusetts
Babe wake up, a new Jay Ducharme walk-thru just dropped.
Why not g scale? And how will you deal with rust on the Lionel track with it out in the weather?
I looked into G scale but it was beyond my budget. I was able to get the Menards track for about a dollar per foot. I’m using No-ox on the track, which will greatly reduce the corrosion problem.
This place is on my bucket list, but it seems very hard to get to by public transit.
Lots of Amish buggies were going by the place. 😊
